Seven people have been injured after a double-decker bus rammed a private car into a wall in Lok Fu this morning. The incident occurred at around 10am when a 75X KMB bus bound for Tai Po hit a private car in the adjacent lane and pushed it onto the pavement, wedging it between the bus and a wall. The car bore the brunt of the impact, with its body was bent almost in half. The bumper was knocked clean off and fell to the pavement, and the windshield burst during the collision.

Seven people, including both the car and bus drivers, were injured, RTHK reports. The driver and passenger of the private car were trapped inside the vehicle and had to be rescued by firefighters before they were taken to hospital. A source on the scene said the accident may have been caused by diversions from road works, and told RTHK that he saw road workers hastily moving traffic cones and signs immediately after the crash. A police investigation is underway.

This is getting out of hand! The HK Public Transportation Authority needs to seriously review their rules for licensing drivers of public transportation. As there has been a steady increase in traffic accidents involving public transportation.

Unless your going to provide evidence why autism is relevant, why mention it? Accidents like this happen all the time without medical reason. Most large bus companies have their own insurance companies. You only have to be 18 year old to drive a double-decker!

A serious traffic accident indeed ... hopefully the 7 injured people will have a speedy recovery ... it sounded like road work might be the contributing factor causing the accident.

that is pretty bad accident. luckily there aren't a lot of injuries in this accident. the bus driver probably wasn't pay attention when the bus driver is driving.
