A Lexus sedan driven by a woman in pajamas crashed through the wall of a car-park building in Tuen Mun on Tuesday and plunged six meters from the third floor to the ground. The driver surnamed Luo, was unconscious when she was rushed to the hospital Ming Pao Daily reported. She was now in stable condition after regaining consciousness. Luo came to Hong Kong seven years ago. She and her Hong Kong husband have two children. They live with her mother-in-law at Wu Pik House in Tuen Mun. Neighbors said they had seen Luo and her husband having quarrels in the few days prior to the accident. The couple even had a fight through WeChat a popular messaging app in mainland China the night before, sources said.

On the morning of the accident, Luo twice called her husband who was working at a construction site in the airport but no one answered. She then left her personal belongings including her phone and identity card at the flat. At around 10 a.m Luo was seen wandering at the estate’s car park. On the second floor she boarded her husband’s beloved car and drove it. While driving towards the third floor she didn’t steer left but stepped on the gas instead. The car smashed through the car park’s wall and plunged six meters to the ground. It landed upside down.

The Housing Authority which operates the parking lot said the car park has been in use since 1983 and its walls and posts comply with building standards. It said it will follow up the case and claim damages from the woman.

Stupid thought of the wife, fortunately no one was hurt or killed, can't even bear the thought of killing innocent people. As for the damage of the car park, yeah she has to own up to her fault and pay up for what she did.

she is crazy! Just glad she didn't hurt or killed anyone when she did her crazy stunts! Please think of your children prior to killing yourself and maybe hurting others! And yes, she better pay for the damage! I have no pity for her!

If this is her way to get her husband's attention, then I certainly think he's aware. However, that is just crazy to smash through a wall of the car park like that.

If she did want to kill herself she is being very very selfish about it. If it was attempted suicide how can a parent abandon their children - it would have had a big psychological effect on the children and not to mention the injuries or death of any unfortunate person who may have been outside the car park at the time. I wonder whether she has any mental problems.

Sounds like she wanted to take revenge by harming herself and her husband's car. It's a very twisted way to make the guy feel guilty......Good to hear that the woman is in stable condition now.

It's unbelievably sad how people find ways to hurt themselves once they become emotionally unstable.
