Earlier this month, a pair of mom and son from Hong Kong participating in Costa Cruise by Hong Thai travel agency traveling on "Classic" ship for eight days mysteriously disappeared onboard of the ship. Shipping company thoroughly searched the entire ship and looked at all the closed-circuit television tapes confirming the two had not left the ship, yet no staff could find them. Later, Shipping company staffs found 3 death notes in their baggage, of which one of the letters wrote if something bad were to happen to them, their asset would be left to Donald Tsang, therefore shipping company staffs believed the two had jumped into the sea. Hong Thai spokesperson confirmed they had called the police regarding this incident while Costa Cruises responded in a written reply today also confirming the pair of mom and son, both Hong Kong residents, were missing in the voyage. Costa Cruises spokesman said the company had notified the authorities in accordance with international procedures and conducted a thorough search on board, and the authorities are conducting an in-depth investigation and inspection. The two missing people were Hong Kong SAR passport and British passport holders, and "Classic" had sailed back to Tianjian from Japan on the 11th of this month.

Missing mom was 50 years old, last name Wu, her son surnamed Chan, about 20 years old, and they were a single-parent family. Last month, the two registered for a Costa Cruises eight-day itinerary trip at Hong Thai Travel Agency to places including Beijing, Tianjin, Jeju in Korea, Japan's Nagasaki and Fukuoka, of which seven days journey were at sea. The cost for each person was about eight thousand five hundred to 9800 dollars. The two claimed they lived in a resort on Lantau Island, and they immediately threw divination blocks (bwei) on the spot to seek an divination answer after registration. After the two paid in 20,000 dollars cash, they told the staff not to remit changes, instead treating the left over as tips, but the staffs would not take it. So, Chan then used the left over money to treat the travel agency staffs with pastry which left the staffs an astounding impression.

Both mother and son boarded Costa Classic in Tianjian after a day of sightseeing in Beijing on July 5. On the third day of the cruise, every person followed the tourguide landing in Jeju of Korea to sightsee but the two had not been seen. The tourguide felt something was wrong, so he knocked on the door of the mom and son's room but no one responded, however at that time the tourguide thought the two didn't like group activities so he did not follow up. When the cruise ship heading from Korea to Fukuoka of Japan, the pair of mom and son were still not seen, therefore the tourguide asked the shipping company to open their room. In the room, they found a plate of fruit structured in a "Bun" shaped (in triangle) similar to when people structure their offerings as used in worshipping, to which chills sent down to all the staffs' spines. Due to ship's large area, all thought the two perhaps would show up later while the shipping company announced a broadcast for missing persons and went through past few days closed television circuits videotapes. The videos revealed that the two did not leave the ship yet the two still somehow disappeared. On the Sixth day journey at sea, the ship sailing from Japan returned to Tianjin, at that the time shipping company had confirmed that the pair of mom and son disappeared. Thus, shipping company staffs opened their room to conduct a detail search in their luggage hoping to find some clues, as a result finding 3 letters written in simple content in their luaggges which believed to be the pair of mom and son's handwritten death notes. One letter was written by the mom addressed to her son saying that if she had an accident, asset would be bequeathed to him; the second letter was written by the son addressed to his mom, and the content was the same as his mom's letter, saying if something bad were to happen to him, all his asset would be left to his mom. Finally, the third letter mentioned that if something happened to them, their asset would be left to Donald Tsang. (NOTE: DONALD TSANG = HONG KONG SAR CHIEF EXECUTIVE, HEAD OF HONG KONG GOVERNMENT)

General manager of Hong Thai Travel Agency confirmed that there were two persons missing during the cruise, and the travel agency had called the Japanese police, also calling the Hong Kong Immigration Department" Assistance to Hong Kong Residents" 1868 hotline for help. She said that there were unexpected things happening in tours, but never had people mysteriously missing in a cruise on board of a ship.

If the pair had jump into the sea to commit suicide, their bodies will soon be floating on the sea surface though. It's very likely that this mother & son must had some bad omen fortune telling incident, thinking they can't escape the disaster hence such disappearance. Hopefully the police can find them soon.

Whoaaa... that's creepy... Like I know people in the East are superstitious and all and does those things, but knowing that they are people who believe in those and had gone missin -- that's something! Wow, I wonder what happened to both the mother and son. I hope their bodies are found soon. This is so creepy... how can no one see where they went, or if they're still on the ship or not.

The odds of them jumping off the ship is the highest I think. They'll find their bodies soon I hope.
