2008 was a competitive year for rookie K-pop boy bands with the debut of groups like SHINee, Supernova, 5AM, and 5PM, but even then U-Kiss managed to shine. Formed by six teens of various nationalities including former Xing members Kevin and Kim Ki Bum, U-Kiss announced a new generation of idols last year with their debut maxi-single N-Generation. After pitching dirty south in their first single, U-Kiss joins the K-pop retro wave for their second maxi-single, appropriately titled Bring It Back 2 Old School. Spinning old-school beats and an addictive melody, their new song "I Like You" (Track 2) goes back to the 90s-style hip-pop of the Seo Tai Ji and Boys era, with some futurism and luxury vintage style thrown in. All four tracks in Bring It Back 2 Old School are written, composed, and produced by Brave Brothers, who orchestrated the group's last single and have written hits for the likes of Brown Eyed Girls, Big Bang, and Son Dam Bi.
